The most effective way of reducing your vehicles CO2 emissions is to reduce their fuel consumption.
Here is how TOTALCARD green will help you do so:
Step 1: Calculate your CO2 emissions
The starting point when you want to reduce your CO2 emissions is to be able to measure them. Based on your vehicles' fuel spending, our monthly online CO2 reports will provide you with an update on your fuel CO2 emissions.
Step 2: Implement your CO2 reduction plan
Cutting your CO2 emissions means reducing your fuel consumption. TOTALCARD green will help you build your CO2 reduction plan in three ways:
| 1. |
INCENTIVES ON ADVANCED FUELS
The use of EXCELLIUM fuels (TOTAL's advanced fuels) allows 3.8% consumption reduction on average, compared to normal fuels. Your incentive as a TOTALCARD green customer:
2 pence per litre* off all EXCELLIUM fuels at TOTAL sites (* including VAT)
|
2. |
TAKE CONTROL OF FUEL SPENDING
Making sure that your fuel cards are used in accordance with your guidelines and/or company needs is essential.
TOTALCARD green includes a complete set of web services that will help you monitor your card's spending (e-mail alerts if abnormal transactions, MPG reports, daily transactions…)
|
3. |
PROFESSIONAL GUIDELINES WITH ECO 10
As a fuel expert, TOTAL recently launched a new program called ECO 10, designed to help fleet managers reduce their fuel consumption.
It gives essential guidelines and information on advanced fuels and products, car maintenance and effective driving behaviour. | Step 3: Follow up your CO2 emissions
To allow you to follow up the efficiency of your CO2 reduction plan, TOTALCARD green's new CO2 reports (available on TOTALCARD Online@) will give you the following information:
> CO2 emissions amount (global and per card) > Percentage of EXCELLIUM fuel used (global and per card) > Savings made (in litres and CO2 emissions)
Step 4 (optional): go carbon neutral with Carbon Clear
As a last step, you will be given the opportunity to offset your remaining CO2 emissions. Every 3 months you will receive an e-mail detailing your vehicles' emissions for the previous 3 months. A link on the email will take you to Carbon Clear's web site of Carbon Clear where you can decide whether to offset your fleet emissions. If you decide to offset with Carbon Clear you will receive a certificate which you can use to support your fleet efficiency objectives and communicate externally to clients that you are taking care of the environment.
