MACH 2018 – A Total review of the premier manufacturing event

Total MACH 2018

What is the MACH event?

MACH is the ultimate showcase of engineering and manufacturing technologies. It is a biennial exhibition which brings together all the cutting-edge technology and new developments to come from the many manufacturing sectors, all under one roof.

The sell-out event attracts nearly 26,000 visitors, representing sectors across the whole of the UK manufacturing industry. With over 600 companies exhibiting, plus a vibrant seminar program, it’s the perfect place to discover new products and services, and a great opportunity to get down to business.

Were Total at MACH 2018?

MACH 2018 was held from 9th-13th April at the NEC in Birmingham. We were exhibiting on stand H6-109 with a dedicated team who talked to delegates about how Total’s range of solutions can extend the life of their equipment, whilst increasing safety and productivity.

What products were Total exhibiting?

Total offers a variety of products developed specifically for over 400 industrial applications. From energy and power to automotive manufacturing, we are the global leaders in lubricant R&D, and the fourth biggest grease manufacturer in the world.

One key product range for this event was our chlorine-free neat and water soluble cutting fluids selection, which are designed to enable efficient machining for all metals and the most stringent operations, as well as ensure a longer lifetime of tools with increased productivity.

We were also talking to customers about our ANAC (oil condition monitoring) service for industry. By sending us a small sample of oil from your machine, we can analyse and monitor engine reliability, and compare it with our comprehensive sample database. This means that your business can avoid unexpected shutdowns, consequent financial loss and costly emergency repairs.

Should I visit in 2020?

Lisa Regan, Market Development Manager at Total was at this year’s event. She said: “The event was a huge success and it was great to see so many visitors on the Total stand. It was the perfect opportunity for them to find out what’s new in industry and do some all-important networking.

She continued: “If you didn’t make it to this year’s event, I highly recommend that you attend in 2020. In terms of innovation, two years is a lifetime – so the next MACH event is not one to be missed!”
