In wood and paper processing, stoppages cost money. If your company has invested heavily in equipment, it needs to be up and running in order to stay profitable. At Total we understand the pressure wood and paper plants are under, and have developed lubricants that optimise performance and enhance the service life of your equipment.
With our technology leadership in the lubricants market, Total products for paper processing, wood panelling and pelleting are designed to face challenges specific to the industry – high temperatures, high pressures and extreme moisture levels. We know that some processes are very energy intensive. Thanks to our R&D, we now deliver products that lower fuel and lubricant consumption, and reduce environmental impact. Our extensive product range is backed up by services that are second to none – helping you choose the right lubricant for your equipment, analysing your oils for wear and tear, and delivering on time all over the UK.
High performance multifunctional products for wood panel
- Seriola range – Mineral oil-based fluid for temperatures up to 310°C with good thermal stability, long drain intervals and a high flash point.
- Jarytherm DBT – 100% synthetic heat transfer fluid for maximum temperatures of 370°C.
- Seriola DTH – In service cleaning fluid for heat transfer installation.
- Cleaner F – Preparation fluid for draining of heat exchangers with high surfactant properties.
- Cortis XHT – With synthetic esters, low evaporation, reduced deposits and intrinsic cleaning properties, this oil shortens down times and makes cleaning easier.
- Ceran XM – The development of this new generation calcium sulfonate grease has benefited from 20 years of industry feedback and Total’s R&D investment. Durable and reliable, it reduces grease consumption while boosting the lifetime of your equipment.
For wood handling machinery we have developed two products covering all applications:
- Star Max FE 10W-30 – A high performance engine oil, suitable for hydraulics systems and gearboxes.
- Star Trans 10W-110 – This transmission oil covers hypoid axles, self-locking limited-slip disc differentials, and oil-immersed braking systems.
These lubricants reduce fuel consumption and, as you’ll only require two products in your inventory, ordering is easier, transport costs are lower, there’s less risk of a shortage, and less risk of the wrong lubricant being applied causing a stoppage.
