Total Lubricants wins prestigious Health & Safety accolade
Total Lubricants’ revolutionary new metalworking fluid, FOLIA, has won the Health and Safety award at the inaugural Maintenance and Engineering Awards.
Launched to the UK market in early 2019, FOLIA is an innovative range of bio-sourced, water-based metalworking fluids produced without emulsifiers or mineral oils.
The Health and Safety award was presented to Total for FOLIA’s significant contribution to the reduction of risk to workers in the metalworking industry.
FOLIA offers outstanding performance and versatility alongside industry-leading health, safety and environmental benefits. It addresses the many challenges faced by the sector by significantly using fewer hazardous components, having a longer fluid lifetime and eradicating all odours and fumes.
Peter Allen, metalworking technical sales manager at Total Industrial Lubricants, said: “We are very pleased to have won this award which recognises the outstanding health and safety benefits FOLIA provides.
“FOLIA is a fantastic example of Total’s commitment to quality and innovation and our continual efforts to deliver superior lubricants that address industry challenges and provide excellent performance and results.”
The judges commented: “Bio-sourced metalworking fluid FOLIA provides important benefits for health, safety and the environment alongside gains in productivity.”
Maintenance and Engineering announced the winners at a presentation lunch event held at the Institution of Mechanical Engineers in Westminster in November.
