Few motor events match rallycross in terms of unabridged speed and frantic racing energy, so automotive fans were treated this May as the FIA World Rallycross Championship came to the UK.

Taking place amidst a brand new motorsport festival, Speedmachine 2018, on the 25th-27th May at Silverstone, the British leg of the 2018 championship saw Team Peugeot Total teaming up once again with legendary, nine-time World Rally Champion, Sébastien Loeb.

Loeb put up a spirited performance, finishing a respectable third place at the event. Loeb’s vehicle was the product of constant innovation between the two automotive leaders, particularly in terms of the development of TOTAL QUARTZ, the event’s official lubricant. What is learnt on the rallycross circuits is directly passed down into the road-going range of Total lubricants.

TOTAL QUARTZ oils feature Age Resistance Technology (ART), which guards the engine against friction, corrosion and deposits, keeping it at peak efficiency and extending its lifetime. Born out of the extreme pressures and temperatures experienced during rallycross, it’s the oil of choice for car owners.

Speedmachine 2018 featured racing, eSports, refreshments and music from the likes of Dizzee Rascal, Razorlight and Basement Jazz in a fantastic festival atmosphere. Total and its partners were there to enjoy the action – find out more in the video below.
